Education/Programs Internship

Project Description:

The intern will gain experience implementing museum education programs in a variety of formats and settings (including guided house tours, outreach programs, hands-on interactive learning programs for summer camp groups, and special events). The intern will also develop at least one new museum education program or activity to be used in future programs.

Hours:

Must be available at least 1 full weekday or two half-days per week, though hours may vary from week to week. Hours can be adjusted for other school requiremements.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship

Qualifications:

• some college experience necessary
• course work focused on American History and/or Education is preferred
• experience working with children
• willing to speak in front of groups
• working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• enthusiasm
• creativity
