Virtual 360Tour of the 1774 Alexander Rock House
December 19, 2020
1:00 PM – 2:00PM
The 1774 Alexander Rock House is now more accessible than ever! The Charlotte Museum of History has created a 360 degree virtual tour of the Revolutionary-era home, giving visitors insider access to the historic home’s interior, as well as spaces not ordinarily open to the public, including the home’s basement and the nearby springhouse.
Each 360Tour purchase includes self-guided access to the tour and a digital guidebook. You can even add on a guided docent experience for an additional $10. The guided experience is offered on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
HOW THE TOUR WORKS:
This tour uses Matterport technology to drop the viewer directly into the 1774 Rock House. You can explore, zoom in, and learn more about different features as you view three different floors of the home. Watch the video above to see a sneak preview of the tour.
Your $15 ticket includes access to the digital tour and an accompanying guidebook full of additional information and bonus videos.
For $10 extra, ticket purchasers can add an experience with a live museum docent, who will lead people through the virtual tour, provide in-depth information about the rooms and objects in them and answer questions in real time, all via Zoom. Simply select either November 7, 2020 or December 19, 2020 from the drop-down selection above. Please note, purchase of the guided experience only does not include self-guided access to the digital tour or guidebook.
Each ticket is for one connection, but we have special rates and programs available for schools or larger groups. To learn more, please contact Lauren Wallace at email@example.com
