Disfruta de un día completo con musica, presentaciones de baile y exhibiciones culturales que celebran las ricas y diversas tradiciones de nuestras culturas. Para hacer el día aún más especial, te invitamos a que vengas con tu traje tipico y ropa que refleje tu herencia hispana, añadiendo al ambiente colorido y auténtico de este increíble evento. ¡No te lo pierdas—ven y sé parte de la fiesta!

The Charlotte Museum of History and Fiestas Patrias are teaming up to bring you an unforgettable day that honors the vibrant cultural heritage of Charlotte's Hispanic and Latino communities. Expect a full day of electrifying music, captivating dance performances, and cultural showcases that celebrate the rich and diverse traditions of Hispanic cultures. To make the day even more special, we invite you to wear traditional attire that reflects your Hispanic heritage, adding to the colorful and authentic atmosphere of this incredible event. Don’t miss out—come and be part of the fiesta!

Program Highlights: Dance Performances: Enjoy a dynamic range of folkloric and representative dances from various Hispanic cultures. Performers and invited guests will be dressed in traditional costumes that represent their countries and cultures.

Music: Experience live music performances that capture the essence of Hispanic musical traditions, including iconic songs performed by local artists Milton and Duni.

Food and Gastronomy: Savor a variety of Latin American cuisines from food trucks, including Las Americas, Empanadas CLT, and El Veneno Mexican Truck.

Costumes: Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional attire that reflects their Hispanic heritage, enhancing the festive and authentic atmosphere of the event.

Country Representation Tables: The event will feature tables representing several Hispanic and Latin American countries. These tables will showcase cultural artifacts, traditional attire, and information about each country’s unique heritage and contributions.

Children’s Activities: There will be fun activities for children, including face painting (pintucaritas) and balloons.

Volunteer with Us!

We are looking for volunteers for our first Hispanic Heritage Celebration! We need help with a variety of activities including check-in, set-up/breakdown, parking, crowd control, etc. 

We are specifically looking for volunteers who are bilingual!

Schedule of Events:

11:00 AM: Doors Open

12:00 PM: Opening Ceremony

12:00 PM: Rock House Guided Tour (English)

12:15 PM - 5:00 PM: Performances in Great Hall

2:00 PM: Rock House Guided Tour (Spanish)
