We are thrilled to invite the community to the Fourth Annual Queen City Juneteenth Cultural Celebration, presented in partnership with the One-Year Anniversary of the Reopening of the Historic Siloam School.
This year’s cultural festival will be held on the grounds of the Charlotte Museum of History—a former site of enslavement, now transformed into a site dedicated to education, preservation, and truth. Hosting a Juneteenth celebration on this land offers a powerful space to honor Black history, resilience, and progress.
What to Expect:
The museum will feature special access to the restored Siloam School building, where museum educators will be on hand to share the story of the school’s legacy and the community’s role in preserving it. Guests are also invited to take part in tours of the 1774 Rock House. With a focus on youth leadership and Black excellence, this event brings together families, educators, artists, historians, and advocates for a day of learning, joy, and cultural pride. We invite you to celebrate heritage, community, and freedom with us.
