Celebrate MeckDec Day at the Charlotte Museum of History with a full day of Revolutionary-era experiences included with admission. Explore engaging living history demonstrations across the homesite, take part in hands-on activities, and immerse yourself in the story of independence through our newest exhibit, American Revolution: The Augmented Exhibition.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy demonstrations including candle dipping, blacksmithing, and herbalism. Stop by each station to learn more about daily life in the 18th-century Carolina Backcountry. Inside the museum building, guests can try writing with a quill and ink before exploring American Revolution: The Augmented Exhibition.

Guided tours of the Rock House will be offered at 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. Spots are first-come, first-served, and you can sign up at the Rock House on the day of. Live readings of the Mecklenburg Declaration will take place at the Rock House before every tour.
