This midcentury-inspired modern home was created and built by owner and architect Gerrit Baumann. It’s a modern take on the midcentury modern ethos of creating spaces in harmony with nature. Floor-to-roof windows flood the home with natural light, allowing views of Baumann's pet goats in the vegetation outside. The lowered conversation area is a call back to a signature midcentury design. This home is built to the German passivhaus (or "passive house") standard, meaning its design is energy efficient and has a smaller ecological footprint.
