The Museum made the difficult decision to cancel our spring fundraiser, Colonial Gem. Your support is now more important than ever to ensure the future of The Charlotte Museum of History and our service to the community.

We believe this is the right decision for our community as we all do our best to slow the spread of COVID-19.

This is a difficult time for so many organizations and businesses, and, like them, the Museum still needs your support. If you’ve attended Colonial Gem in the past, please consider making a donation to the Museum in lieu of attending this year’s event.

Join us for a magical evening on the beautiful lawns and gardens of Mecklenburg County’s oldest home, the 1774 Hezekiah Alexander Homesite. This signature event features unique food and beverage experiences as well as live music and costumed historians to bring the Colonial house to life.

Colonial Gem is the premier fundraising event for the Charlotte Museum of History — Mecklenburg County’s leader in interpreting and preserving the region’s unique history and inspiring dialogue about the future.
