Now that Governor Cooper has moved the state into phase 2.5 of reopening, we are excited to announce that the museum will begin reopening to the public in phases starting with the opening of the grounds of the 1774 Alexander Homesite for one Saturday each month. Tickets are on sale now for the October 24, 2020 An Afternoon on the Grounds experience.

To protect the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff, the Museum building and grounds remain closed to the public as we have temporarily moved to digital-only events. These virtual events are free, together with new digital learning opportunities for children and families available on our Digital Learning page.

We need your financial support to serve the community during this challenging time and to keep protecting Charlotte’s oldest home, the 1774 Alexander Rock House.

Can you support us with a donation or membership today?
