Sugar and Statecraft: Holiday Desserts, Direct from the White House

Celebrate the season with a dessert workshop that travels through White House history! Special guest Bennett Rea, of Cookin’ with Congress, will guide us through holiday sweets from the early nineteenth century’s puddings to the Gilded Age’s confections to the cookies and cakes of today.

Participants will get a taste of the stories behind each era’s treats and join in the fun of making and sampling them!
