Visit the Charlotte Museum of History

General Admission tickets are valid for one admission within 60 days of your purchase. Your general admission ticket includes an audio tour of the Alexander Homesite, access to exhibits inside the Museum building, and a docent-led tour offered at 2:00 pm Tuesday - Friday, and at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm on Saturdays of the historic structures. Click below for more detailed information about tours of the museum and grounds.

American Revolution, the Augmented Exhibition, coming April 2026

Experience this groundbreaking exhibition, highlighting the most significant events of the Revolutionary War, including pivotal battles of the Southern Campaign. Through augmented reality technology, you'll be able to explore key events such as the Boston Tea Party, the Constitutional Convention, and the Battle of Yorktown; visit historic Boston, Philadelphia, and New York; and learn about the diverse characters who contributed to America's founding.

Guided Tours Every Day!

Staff historians and trained docents lead tours of the 1774 Rock House and the 1920s Siloam School each day starting at 2:00pm (and an extra at noon on Saturdays!). Your tour purchase goes toward the preservation of Charlotte's oldest home and our interpretive efforts on the homesite.
