Join the Charlotte Museum of History for Earth Day to explore centuries of environmental change in Charlotte. We will begin the day with a morning “history hike” through Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, including stops at old farming sites, restored creeks and prairies, and the Robinson Rock House ruins.
Our Earth Day programming will also include a lecture from Catawba historian Dr. Brooke Bauer, followed by a short discussion with Dr. Bauer and the Catawba Riverkeeper. The Museum will lead a special nature-themed tour of the historic 1774 Homesite.
Dr. Bauer’s address is part of the Ron Hankins “History Talks” Lecture Series, sponsored by Wells Fargo.
