The Siloam School Educator Institute

The Siloam School Educator Institute offers educators of all backgrounds a space to delve into Charlotte’s Black history, serving as a hub for learning, creativity, practice, discussion, and the exploration of interdisciplinary methods to enhance historical education in their classrooms and beyond.

Through free monthly professional development programs, participants are provided relevant tools and resources crafted by fellow educators and history curriculum experts. Educators also benefit from a supportive and collaborative community of teachers dedicated to enriching student learning and fostering critical thinking both in and outside the classroom. All sessions are facilitated by teacher educator, entrepreneur, and researcher Dr. Kisha Howell, EdD of The Thought Partners.
