Alex Osborn, creator of Sarii, will join a virtual panel to discuss his artistic process and the importance of Sally New River to the Catawba Nation. His portrait of Sarii/Sally New River was created for the Museum's "Path of Portraits" series in July 2022. Alex will be joined by Ensley Guffey, Tribal Archivist at the Catawba Nation Archives, and Dr. Brooke Bauer, historian and author of Becoming Catawba, who will help answer questions about Sally New River's life and legacy.
