Your Destination for America's 250

Sign the Declaration of Independence, cross the Delaware with Washington, take part in the siege of Yorktown and meet the characters who changed history in this new interactive experience.

Powered by video game technology and fun for all ages, The American Revolution Experience lets you choose your own adventure.

You’ll also discover the Carolinas’ legendary role in the American Revolution through a special gallery dedicated to local history, including the battles of King’s Mountain and Charlotte.

Explore the Queen City’s Most Revolutionary Address

Step onto our 8-acre historic site to explore Charlotte’s oldest home, the only local building still standing from the American Revolution. The house has its own rebellious history, too. Original owner Hezekiah Alexander was a Revolutionary statesman and framer of North Carolina’s first Constitution and Bill of Rights. See how he and other ordinary people lived during the Revolutionary period.

Plan Your Visit

We recommend setting aside 2-3 hours for your visit to enjoy the full American Revolution experience and to visit our historic site. You can fuel up at our grab-and-go café and pick up some one-of-a-kind revolutionary souvenirs at our museum store. Learn more about our historic site here.
