¡Pleibol!

¡Pleibol!

Step up to the plate and into a century of history.

¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues / En los barrios y las grandes ligas is a bilingual journey into the heart of American baseball — and the Latino/a communities that helped make the game what it is today. Organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the National Museum of American History and over 30 partners across 14 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, this powerful exhibition weaves together oral histories, artifacts, and untold stories from the barrios to the big leagues.

From youth sandlots to Major League dugouts, ¡Pleibol! reveals how baseball has long served as a gathering place — uniting people across race, class, and gender, and reflecting the larger American story of immigration, identity, and belonging.

Right here in Charlotte, we are taking it local. In partnership with the Charlotte Knights, we are bringing the region's own baseball history into the conversation.

This exhibition is included with general admission.
