This modern home on Louise Ave speaks to midcentury modern architecture with its asymmetrical roofline and massive windows. Designed and built by owner and architect Marc Manack, the home recently won the prestigious George Matsumoto Prize from NC Modernist. Skylights and large windows throughout the home maximize light and connect the home to the street outside. The finishes are a study in contrast between light and dark, smooth and rough, including dramatic wood-clad ceilings and monumental stairs.
