The midcentury era in Charlotte was made possible in part by the growth of the automobile culture and the ability to create homes in what would eventually become known as “the suburbs.” Members of the Hornet’s Nest Region of the Antique Automobile Clubs of America will be at the Charlotte Museum of History with lovingly restored examples of cars that would’ve roamed Charlotte’s roads during the height of the midcentury modern era, starting in the 1940s, and beyond.
