Sponsorships available now for the Hive @ 35 anniversary exhibition of the Charlotte Hornets.

In 1988 the Charlotte Hornets joined the NBA as an expansion team, building upon the legacy created by the Carolina Cougars and the long tradition of a love of basketball in North Carolina. Thirty five years later, the iconic teal and purple team continues to delight fans in the Queen City and beyond.

This exhibition will invite visitors to learn more about the history, the people, and the community that Hornets Basketball has brought to the Piedmont of North Carolina- but we need your support to make it happen!

Objects from the Hive at 35 Exhibition

The Charlotte Sting were established in 1997 as one of the original eight teams of the WNBA. This 1998 jersey belonged to 1999 All-Star player Vicky Bullett.
These shoes were worn by Dell Curry, voted 1993-1994 NBA Sixth Man of the Year and all-time leader for games played as a Charlotte Hornet with 701 games.
